개요

The increasing interest in the use of friction stir welding process in the automobile, modern aerospace industry, etc., is placing stringent demands on the manufacturing techniques and performance requirements, and the manufacture employs the high quality and efficiency welding process to produce welds. Welding  plays an important role in the fabrication of lightweight vehicle structure, and  this has led to an increasing attention in the use of friction stir welding technology and friction stir spot welding technology. This paper covers a recent technical trends of friction stir welding technologies of aluminum alloys which is based on the published research works in the ‘friction stir welding of aluminum alloy' obtained from the KISTI's database. Web of Science System and deals with the details of the background data of the friction stir welding technologies of aluminum alloy.
